Part-Time, Remote (6-Month Contract)

Flutter Farms is growing — and for the first time, I’m bringing someone on board to help build the next chapter of this business.

We’re a small flower farm in Belton, Missouri, and we’re shifting our business in a new direction — leaning fully into:

  • dried wedding florals (the heart of where we’re headed)

  • shippable wreaths and dried arrangements

  • a growing Etsy lineup

  • seasonal farmstand offerings

  • dried florals and décor for local businesses

  • workshops and hands-on floral experiences

The Role

Marketing Strategist + Content Manager

Part-time | Remote | 6-month contract with potential for renewal

I’m looking for someone who can take the lead on marketing — not just posting content, but planning, refining, and creating systems that help Flutter Farms grow steadily and sustainably.

This is not an assistant role.
It’s a blend of strategy + content creation, with plenty of autonomy.

Core Responsibilities

Pinterest (Top Priority)

  • Build and manage a full Pinterest strategy

  • Create 10–20 optimized pins per week

  • Build 20–30 keyworded boards

  • Develop seasonal Pinterest plans

  • Monitor analytics and adjust strategy monthly

Instagram

  • Plan and schedule 3–4 posts per week

  • Create simple reels from supplied photo/video content

  • Maintain a cohesive visual aesthetic that reflect the brand

Email Marketing (1–2 per month)

  • Write monthly newsletters

  • Build simple, consistent templates in Canva (if needed)

  • Align emails with product launches and seasonal offerings

Etsy SEO + Updates

  • Refresh and optimize listings (titles, tags, descriptions)

  • Provide keyword suggestions

  • Recommend new listing opportunities based on analytics

Website Copy (Light Touch)

  • Refine key wording/navigation on pages as needed

  • Suggest improvements to help visitors convert to inquiries or sales

Monthly Strategy + Reporting

  • Prepare a simple monthly summary of insights, wins, and suggestions

  • Share ideas proactively for future content or improvements

Who You Are

You don’t need floral industry experience — but you should love creative small businesses and understand visual online storytelling.

  • You LOVE Pinterest and understand how to make content rank

  • You can write in a warm, human voice (not corporate, not overly curated)

  • You’re comfortable creating simple reels and idea pins

  • You know your way around Canva

  • You understand SEO for Etsy and Pinterest

  • You can batch content and work independently

  • You are organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented

  • You care about small businesses and slow-grown creative work

Bonus points if you’ve worked with florists, photographers, makers, or wedding professionals.

What You’ll Receive

  • A clear brand guide

  • Weekly photo and video content

  • A seasonal product map (weddings, wreaths, Etsy, farmstand)

  • Access to Pinterest, Instagram, email, and Etsy platforms

  • A collaborative, low-drama working environment 

  • Open communication and fast responses

Compensation & Structure

Phase 1: Foundation Build (First 3 Months)

Flat rate: $1,200/month (deliverable-based)

This is where we build the backbone of the entire marketing system. Output matters more than hours.

In this phase, you'll build:

  • Full Pinterest setup (boards, keywords, overall strategy)

  • 80–120 optimized pins

  • 20–30 keyworded boards

  • Etsy audit + SEO refinements

  • Initial email flows

  • Instagram content templates

  • A working monthly content system

  • A seasonal Pinterest strategy

  • Simple wedding lead funnels

  • Light improvements to website wording/navigation

This is the “heavy lift” setup phase that sets us up for long-term success.

Phase 2: Ongoing Maintenance (Following 3 Months)

Flat rate: $800/month (deliverable-based)

Once the systems are built, this phase focuses on consistency and steady growth.

Monthly deliverables include:

  • Weekly Pinterest pins (10–20)

  • Regular Instagram posts (3–4/week)

  • Reusing and adapting established templates

  • Updating Etsy listings as needed

  • 1–2 monthly emails

  • Ongoing analytics monitoring

  • Light strategic adjustments as platforms shift

This phase keeps everything running smoothly without constant rebuilding.

Contract Details

  • Duration: 6 months

  • Potential renewal based on fit and results

  • Location: Remote (U.S.-based; Kansas City local preferred but not required)

  • This role is output-based, not hourly — the focus is on clear deliverables and consistent execution.
